Hello my name is Lou Ingrassia Jr. and I am running for the New York State Assembly to represent the residents of Orange and Sullivan Counties. Before I humbly ask for your support in the June 25th Republican Primary Election, I would like to tell you about my experience, and my vision for a safer and more aordable New York.
Public Service is an Ingrassia passion.
My father proudly served our region in the New York State Assembly in the early 1970s and my mother was the elected tax receiver in the Town of Wallkill for over 30 years. I have dedicated my career to enhancing our quality of life and protecting our communities. For over 42 years, I have been an active member of the Howells Volunteer Fire Department. In my capacity as a Fire Chief, Fire Commissioner, and as a former Orange County Deputy Fire Coordinator, I have helped to strengthen our emergency services to improve response times and equipment for our rural communities.
My work experience also includes over 37 years with the Town of Wallkill Department of Public Works. From my days as a laborer in the water/sewer department, to my current position as DPW Commissioner, I’ve strived to improve our region’s roads, bridges, parks and water/sewer infrastructure, while implementing new projects and ideas to enhance the health and safety of area residents.
I have also served our veterans for over 30 years as a member of the Middletown Elks Lodge, and I currently serve as the Chairman of the Board of Hudson Valley Honor Flight.
As your State Assemblyman I will fight to ensure that our region receives its fair share in state resources to make needed investments in our roads, highways, and clean water/sewer infrastructure; as well as additional support for our first responders, police, EMS and firefighters.
I will also fight to end the state’s dangerous sanctuary policies that are costing New York taxpayers $2.4 billion this year alone. The Democrat-created migrant crisis continues to siphon critical funding away from our schools, transportation projects and property tax relief with no end in sight.
As your representative in the State Assembly, my priority is to make our state safer and more aordable for our seniors, families and the hardworking, law-abiding New Yorkers who call the Hudson Valley home. I am proud to have received the weighted endorsement of the Orange and Sullivan County Republican Parties and I would be honored to have your support in the June 25th Republican Primary.
Together, we can work to reverse the state’s ill-conceived, failing policies on bail, immigration, and the economy and return security, prosperity and aordability to New York.
Respectfully yours,
Lou Ingrassia Jr.
