Ingrassia scores comfortable win in 100th Assembly District Republican primary
TOWN OF WALLKILL – Lou Ingrassia easily won Tuesday night’s 100th Assembly District Republican primary by a vote of approximately 1,249 to 858.
Ingrassia celebrated the win at a small event at Pizza E Birra in the Town of Wallkill. He now moves on to November’s general election and promises to bring substantive change to New York State.
“I want to thank everyone who has backed and supported me during the race,” said Ingrassia, a lifelong Town of Wallkill resident, and a member of the Town’s Republican committee for over 25 years. “Your kind words and encouragement is what motivates and inspires me every day. I look forward to working even harder on the campaign trail over the next few months and listening to what is on the minds of the good and hard-working residents of the NY-100.”
Voters throughout the community have identified with Ingrassia, who continues to make the case for the real change that is needed in New York State. His platform will continue to focus on, among other things, these key issues impacting hard-working taxpayers:
· High taxes, growing energy costs and inflation are squeezing our young families, small-businesses and seniors.
· Cashless bail and pro-crime policies have made York State more dangerous for law-abiding citizens and the men and women of law enforcement who keep our communities safe.
· The migrant crisis is a failure of leadership on the state and national level. It is a security risk, has made our state less safe, and siphons away billions in resources that could be used to provide tax relief.
· Rebuilding the State’s damaged infrastructure and local roadways that are important to residents and visitors alike.
“My 40 years of dedicated public service and familiarity with the region will provide a seamless transition to representing the NY-100,” Ingrassia said. “With your support, I hope to celebrate another win in November, and bring much needed leadership to New York.”
The NY-100 consists of Middletown and Wallkill in Orange County and most of Sullivan County.
